Into the Rain - Isamu Yamamoto
This is the debut photobook by Kumamoto-based photographer Isamu Yamamoto, who creates works deeply rooted in the local community. It features photographs taken between 2019, when he became independent from a photography studio, and 2024. The book captures the tranquil atmosphere of Kumamoto's forests and the natural landscapes, such as dragonflies gliding over river surfaces. Interwoven with these serene scenes are fragments of the author’s everyday life, such as a favorite shirt accidentally torn by carelessness. Together, these elements gradually draw the viewer into their evocative mood.
The book’s design was created by Fuyuki Hashizume of "TOR DESIGN," a design studio based in Nishi-Ogikubo, Suginami, Tokyo.
